The Ceramics

Italian ceramics come in various degrees of quality – the ones we have chosen to import for you are high in quality and artistry and we are as proud of them as their makers, all of whom reside in either Vietri sul Mare in the south of Italy or in Deruta, in Umbria.  All are passionate about their region, the history of the designs and the quality of their work.

With typical Italian poetry, this is how the artisans who produce our ceramics see their work: “A ceramic at the end of the day is nothing more than a fistful of earth mixed with water, kissed by fire so it becomes durable, coloured by an artist’s paintbrush with the colours of the sun and of our region”.
