Handpainted maiolica Deruta bottle stoppers have a ceramic top and a cork base for inserting in a bottle.  Sold singly.

These bottle stoppers are painted in the 'papaveri' design (Italian for poppies). This design is intended to capture something of the vibrance of the colour that springs up all over Italy in the spring and summer, when the wild poppies bloom everywhere!

Each item has an inscription from our artists in Deruta, Umbria confirming the authenticity of these lovely bottle stoppers.
