Excellence in Retail

The New Zealand Retailers Association TOP SHOP^® Retail Excellence Awards are accolades that every retailer would want.

Established by the New Zealand Retailers Association in 1988, the TOP SHOP^® Awards provide recognition for excellence in retail. The awards challenge retailers to continuously look for ways to raise the bar in retail standards, professionalism and customer service.  The TOP SHOP^® competition runs in four regions in New Zealand:

1. Auckland
2. Waikato
3. Wellington
4. Christchurch

After 23 years, entries still remain strong - reflecting the depth of the Retail Industry in New Zealand.  To be a TOP SHOP^® each store goes through a stringent judging process, including mystery shoppers and a panel of expert judges.  The judges' decision is based on the total shopping experience, not just individual aspects of the store.
