A set of two jugs for olive oil and vinegar, hand painted in the small town of Deruta, in the Italian province of Umbria.
Olive oil and vinegar are staples of every Italian dinner table and these sets are common in Italy.
Each jug has been painted with 'Aceto' (vinegar) and Olio (olive oil).
The jugs sit in a holder with a handle so that they can be easily transported to the table and then applied to your meal. with ceramic stoppers and a holder with handle.
The entire set is made from Italian ceramic and hand painted in the 'Arabesque' design which includes a small bird on a white background with foliage of blue berries and other flowers. Each jug has its own ceramic stopper to preserve the contents when not in use.
The base of the holder has the inscription "Dip a Mano" which translates to "Painted by Hand" and Deruta, the small Umbrian town where the set is made, "<MOD>" which stands for 'Majolica of Deruta' and then 'Italy'.
The height of the jugs in the holder: 160mm and each jug on its own stands approx. 120mm high.
